Reese Hundley will share with us his wealth of expertise in aquaponics. He will highlight several aquaponics system’s from large to small. He will also share practical ways in which to use aquaponics systems. Additionally, he will share curriculum that can be used by formal and informal educators.
Aquaponics Workshop with Reese Hundley
Reese Hundley grew up in Yukon, OK and was raised by biology teachers and grandparents that also taught at SWOSU. He spent the Summers of his childhood camping and fly fishing with his family. Reese went to college at OSU in Stillwater and was very active with the Outdoor Adventure program guiding whitewater kayaking, backpacking, and climbing trips all over the nation as well as was a ropes course facilitator for 4 years. He was also involved heavily with Engineers Without Boarders and trained a team that put in water wells in Africa as well as helped build bio-sand filters for communities in Honduras. Reese graduated with a degree in Biosystems Engineering in 2014. After College, he worked for Halliburton as a field cement engineer before taking a position as a naturalist at Camp Loughridge October of 2015 for an Outdoor Classroom Program. Since then he has designed many STEM based activities to support teachers all over the region. Since September 2016, he has worked for Symbiotic Aquaponic as an education consultant and technical expert on aquaponic systems.
